Out & About

Fentafriddle is within easy reach of the legendary beaches of the north Cornish coast, including Polzeath, Daymer Bay and Rock. Trebarwith Strand, a sandy beach excellent for families and with good surfing for the more experienced, is a short walk from the property.

The holiday cottage is ideally placed for days out visiting Cornwall 's famous attractions: The Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, The Tate Gallery, The National Maritime Museum and The Minack Theatre are all within a short drive. Closer to Little Fentafriddle you'll find the beautiful harbour of Port Isaac, Padstow, a favourite among food lovers, and Tintagel, an ancient village steeped in Arthurian legend and with a dramatic cliff-top castle.

If you fancy trying a new sport or activity, there are dozens of opportunities - surfing, sailing, waterskiing, windsurfing, riding, kite flying, cycling - the Cornish landscape was made for fun. There is also fantastic walking to be had here; the South West Coast Path is on the doorstep at Little Fentafriddle, offering the perfect traffic-free way to explore the stunning coastline.

There is endless choice when it comes to dining out. Within walking distance are Trebarwith Strand's two pubs, the Port William and the Mill House. In Port Isaac, try The Harbour, a restaurant specialising in excellent seafood and steaks. Padstow has a long list of renowned restaurants, including Rick Stein's famous eateries, and Jamie Oliver's Fifteen Cornwall is nearby at Watergate Bay .

If you'd like to catch your own supper, we can arrange boat trips for fishing which sail from Port Isaac (just a few miles along the coast) - just let us know if you'd like the details.
