The Roundhouse Sitting Room
The centrepiece of Fentafriddle, the second sitting room (called 'The Roundhouse' due to its unusual circular shape) offers panoramic views of the coastline and the surrounding countryside from its three floor-to-ceiling windows which are set at intervals around the walls. Fentafriddle was once a millhouse and this room originally housed the donkey as he turned the wheel to drive the mill; the room retains a great sense of character with solid oak floors and beams. A wide solid oak decking area almost surrounds the Roundhouse, ideal for sunbathing, alfresco drinks or simply enjoying the view; this is accessed by two sets of French doors on different sides of the room. Also just outside is a sheltered terrace, created with beautiful reclaimed Delabole slate and complete with garden furniture.
The Roundhouse is equipped with a television, video, DVD player and full Sky satellite package, along with a selection of DVDs, games, books and puzzles.
